After a devastating loss in last year's Sinnoh League tournament, former Pokemon trainer Ashura Laorule found herself in a horrible slump. Nothing in her life seemed to be going her way, and she had pretty much given up on her dream to become a Pokemon Master.
Since then, she has been living quietly on her mother's Pokemon Daycare/ranch. She helps out her mother in any way she can, usually by taking care of the Pokemon left there by trainers. Those Pokemon seem to be afraid of her and their trainers blame Ashura for their Pokemon's odd changes in behavior, often calling her a "devil woman" and accusing her of abusing their Pokemon.
Just when Ashura thought her life couldn't get any more hectic, an old friend of her's stops by for a visit and triggers events that can only be described as inhumanly bizarre...

This comic is a crossover between Pokemon and Disgaea. This means the following:
- I will be mixing and changing certain "canon" elements from both games.
- Any "canon" elements from media that aren't the games will most likely be disregarded.
- There will be OCxCanon elements later on.
- There will also be Gijinkas. Mainly because my hatred for drawing Pokemon anatomy burns with the white hot intensity of 1000 suns.
- The art gets better as the story progresses. Trust me.
Also every screen tone I touch turns to ass and I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE IT NOT ASS.
I'd like to point out that the game Ashura mentions in the second panel is a shout out to the man I consider a comic genius/art god/my #1 idol, Kevin Bolk. It's making a reference to his hilarious parody of a certain game genre, which can be found here.
I simply love the dialogue exchanges between the characters. Mei is simply fabulous--I love how she is so laidback and is taking her time getting out some lemonade for everyone while Ashura is impatient for an explanation.
The exchange between Byron and Roark is amazing, too. Byron playing Tetris is the best thing ever, mmhmm. I also like the texture used for the table and flooring :)
